Terms and Conditions for Booking with Maengwynedd cabins and Ty Gwyn Holiday Cottage

By making any Booking with us, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with them.  

BOOKING any booking made by telephone or email will be provisionally held for 3-5 working days until the receipt of 50% of the deposit. We kindly ask that you contact us should you not wish to proceed with the booking during this time. We recommend that Cancellation Insurance is taken for your stay, particularly in winter months in case you are unable to travel due to adverse weather conditions as we cannot be held responsible for this. The cabins remain open as usual following Covid-19 Government rules,  As always, we do advise travel insurance is taken out.

DEPOSIT a deposit of 50% of the total booking will be required when a confirmation e-mail is sent. If booking within 6 weeks of the stay then full payment is required. Please note that the deposit is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. You can request for us to try to re-let the dates and if we successfully re-let your booking, you will receive your amount paid minus the original deposit. Once a deposit has been made you agree to all terms included. The name provided through the booking will be solely responsible for any breakages or damages caused during your stay. Bookings will not be taken for groups under the age of 21 years.

REMAINDER OF THE BALANCE The balance of hire will be due for payment four (4) weeks before the holiday commencement date. We reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received one week after balance due date.

CANCELLATION any cancellation made by the client for whatever the reason must be in writing by e-mail. Once the booking has been confirmed, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Cancellations should be notified immediately. If full payment has been made and we can re-let the dates, you will receive your amount we are able to re-let it for (less the deposit). If the cabin is not re-let, you will not receive the amount previously paid. Maengwynedd Log Cabins strongly recommends the client takes out insurance against cancellation.

COVID-19 Please stick to government guidelines, if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 (see NHS online) you will not be permitted to stay in the cabins. You will have to self-isolate at home with the other members of your household that are booked to stay. You may not use the cabins as part of a period of self-isolation and will be asked to leave.

We kindly ask guests to provide your own Linen to eliminate any risks of cross contamination,(we provide duvets , pillows and matress protectors)

We kindly ask you to bring your own towels for use in the cabin and with the Hot Tub.

Oven gloves and a tea towel will be provided as will disposable Jay cloths and cleaning products including dishwasher tablets, washing up powder, hand soap and detergent. We will no longer be able to provide tea, coffee and sugar due to the risk of cross contamination.

We advise you to bring your own entertainment e.g. Dvds, books, board games, children toys as we have had to remove them due to covid19.

NOISE Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated and guests will be asked to leave with immediate effect. No loud music should be played after 10pm and we kindly ask that the Hot Tubs or outside decking areas are not used after midnight.

CLEANING AND BREAKAGES BOND Maengwynedd Cabins has the right to charge £100 breakages and cleaning deposit on every large group booking. This deposit must be paid with the balance payment. It will be returned in full within 3-5 days of departure once Maengwynedd Cabins are satisfied that no breakages have occurred (beyond small incidental items such as a broken glass) and also that the log cabin has been left in the same state as it was found on arrival.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES – arrival at the cabins is after 4pm. Departure time is 10.00 am. The key will be left in the door on the inside on arrival and we kindly ask that it is left in the door as you depart.

CARE OF THE PROPERTY the client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and it’s furniture, pictures, fixtures and fittings and effects in or on the property, and leave them in the same state of repair, and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning. We provide cleaning equipment for this purpose. Maengwynedd Log Cabins reserve the right to issue an additional charge (to the person who made the booking) of up to £50 for cabins left in a poor state on departure. An invoice will be issued and payment required within 7 working days. The client is legally bound to reimburse Maengwynedd Log Cabins for breakages, damage, missing items or excessive cleaning caused by the party during the period of rental.

FIXTURES & FITTINGS all fixtures and fittings must be used solely for their intended purpose. Maengwynedd Log Cabins request that you do not take into the cabins any portable heaters, lighting equipment or any items that may cause danger to the cabins, it’s equipment or it’s occupants. No furniture, bedding, plates or cutlery are to be moved from or between the cabins.

CHILDREN children must be supervised at all times. This is particularly important when using the hot tub. No young child should be allowed in a hot tub until they can stand on the bottom and have their head remain out of the water. Children who are big enough to be in a hot tub should not use it for more than five minutes at a time.

PETS Up to two dogs are accepted by prior written consent and must not be left unattended during your stay. We have the right to ask you to vacate the premises. Any damaged caused by your pets and you will be held financially responsible.

CAR PARKING Cars parked at your own risk on the visitor’s car park, we cannot be held responsible for any properties left in your car or any damage to your car on the car park.

VISITORS only the number of persons notified on the booking form are entitled to occupy the accommodation allocated during any time of their stay. Prices have been adjusted to the number of guests staying. Extra guests will be asked to leave. The maximum number of persons allowed at the property is clearly stated as six to eight (6-8) and must not be exceeded at any time in accordance with our Insurance providers. Owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of breach of this condition. Children and babies are included in the party size at time of booking.

CARING FOR YOUR SAFETY It is the client’s responsibility, particularly parents with young children or other vulnerable people to inspect the property and grounds immediately on arrival and note any possible hazards. Check the layout of your holiday property so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily.

THE COUNTRYSIDE Please respect the countryside code at all times.

SMOKING Maengwynedd Log Cabins operates a No Smoking policy within its cabins, decking and hot tubs.

RIGHT OF ENTRY we will not normally enter a cabin once let without your agreement, however employees of Maengwynedd Log Cabins shall be allowed the right of entry to property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection, or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

HOT TUBS the hot tubs are unsupervised and are therefore used entirely at your own risk. We maintain our hot tubs on a daily basis. In the event of inappropriate use (in our opinion) resulting in chemical imbalances/poor water quality and the need to drain and refill the hot tub, a charge of £50 will be made to the person who made the booking. Guides to the proper use of our hot tubs are available in each of our log cabins. Please be aware that for health and safety regulations we drain our hot tubs when we feel the water quality has been compromised; this could result in the hot tub being out of use for one day of your stay.

PRIVACY protecting your privacy is important to us and we will strive to keep your personal information confidential. We do not give any information to third parties. If required by law or legal process to disclose your personal information we will do only in accordance with the law.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Maengwynedd Log Cabins reserve the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time.  We also reserve the right to terminate the agreement/booking without refund of the balance payment. Unexpected events or accidents over which we have no control, gives us the right to move you to an equivalent cabin.

FORCE MAJEURE Maengwynedd Log Cabins cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation where the performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure. These circumstances include any event which we could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
